Been practicing bunker shots again. Have not done so for a while, since I’ve been focusing on ball-striking, chipping and putting. So sand shots are currently the weakest part of my game. After a couple bunker sessions, I’ve found a setup that works for me:

Practiced bunker shots today. Practiced getting over a 2 foot lip to a flag 4-6 feet from the bunker edge.
This worked to get high soft shots landing near the pin with little roll-out:
1) Grip near end of club. Don’t choke down, this reduces ability to slip the club through the sand beneath the ball.

Been practising these as well.
Here’s what works for me:
-Ball position in line with left instep.
-Settle shoes into the sand.
-Focus on spot 1 to 2 inches behind the ball.
-Think about hitting that spot, not the ball.
-Swing smoothly.
-Make a vertical arm swing, lower body relatively still.
